    description and appropriate tissue sampling.
  • Microscopic review of grossed surgical and cytological specimens.
  • Giving presentations and lectures to other residents in the weekly meetings.

HMC Houston Healthcare, Tomball, TX

Completed 1 month Pathology rotation at HMC Houston Healthcare.

  • Participated in case sign-out sessions and reviewed diagnostic findings under supervision.
  • Observed and assisted in the gross examination of various specimens, including placentas, thyroidectomies, and
    endoscopic biopsies.
  • Engaged in discussions on a wide range of cases, which involved reviewing H&E slides as well as immunohistochemistry
    stains.

UW Health, Rockford, IL

Completed 1 month Pathology rotation at UW Health.

  • Learned to use Epic EMR for documenting pathology reports and workflow.
  • Observed grossing techniques, including X-ray localization, in post-chemotherapy mastectomy specimens.
  • Attended frozen section procedures for various cases and discussed the results.
  • Participated in adequacy assessments for lung biopsies, observed evaluation techniques, and engaged in discussions with
    the team responsible for the procedure
  • Acquired foundational knowledge of flow cytometry and its clinical applications.

Autism Care Therapy, one of Chicago’s largest ABA clinics with 10+ locations, provides one-on-one therapy for children
with autism, fostering communication and behavioral growth.

    behavioral skills.
