HMC Houston Healthcare, Tomball, TX

Completed 1 month Pathology rotation at HMC Houston Healthcare.

Participated in case sign-out sessions and reviewed diagnostic findings under supervision.
Observed and assisted in the gross examination of various specimens, including placentas, thyroidectomies, and
endoscopic biopsies.
Engaged in discussions on a wide range of cases, which involved reviewing H&E slides as well as immunohistochemistry
stains.

Completed 1 month Pathology rotation at UW Health.

Learned to use Epic EMR for documenting pathology reports and workflow.
Observed grossing techniques, including X-ray localization, in post-chemotherapy mastectomy specimens.
Attended frozen section procedures for various cases and discussed the results.
Participated in adequacy assessments for lung biopsies, observed evaluation techniques, and engaged in discussions with
the team responsible for the procedure
